Building Safety Act 2022

On every building project which is subject to Building Control requirements, the Client, Principal Designer and Principal Contractor have overall responsibility to show compliance with the Building Regulations. This has always been the case, but it is now set out in legislation following changes in October 2023 and implementation of the Building Safety Act 2022. Building Control act as the Regulator and cannot advise on elements of the design or construction methods of the development.
